Today’s such a cold, rainy spring day — about 50 degrees, which is a big difference from last week which was in the 80’s. I didn’t want to wear a heavy fall or winter jacket, but needed something comfortable to keep me warm and dry.

Thanks to L.L. Bean PrimaLoft Packaway Vest, which is very light weight, super comfy and water-resistant, I was warm and dry, without feeling bulky. What’s unique about this vest is that the warm PrimaLoft insulation that compresses, so the vest stuffs into its own pocket — perfect for camping, hiking, skiing, traveling and cold rainy spring days like today! PrimaLoft is made of synthetic microfiber thermal insulation material that’s used for outerwear, gloves, sleeping bags and footwear, as well as comforters and mattress toppers. It’s extremely lightweight (not bulky at all), warm, water-resistant (it kept me dry in today’s cloudy, rainy day), and is machine washable and dryable in cold water (gentle cycle, tumble dry low).

I love the Kelp Green (think “Dark Forest Green”) color. There are also these colors to choose from: Dark Cayenne (dark red), Marigold (yellow), Black, Bright Lapis (blue), Fir (think “Christmas tree”).
